What do you mean, this isn't our bed???

So mom, where do you plan on sleeping???

So mom, where do you plan on sleeping???

These are the loves of my life: Max, a Springer Spaniel & shelter dog; Maggie, a Cocker Spaniel & shelter dog; and Yukon, an Akita. I also have a shelter cat named Molly, and they are all the best of buddies.

Actually, Max & Molly are my boyfriend's, but they live with me & I take care of them. I'm their MOM.

We aren't sure why Max was at the shelter, only that the owner didn't want him anymore. How sad is that? With Maggie, the lady that worked at the shelter knew I was a sucker and she also knew that I just lost my black lab who was 15. Maggie's owners didn't want her anymore because she piddled everytime someone talked to her, a typical cocker spaniel, and she threw up all the time.

Well, I took one look at those big brown sad eyes and had to take her home with me, although I had to wait a week because she was still in quarantine, being so new to the shelter.

The day I brought her home, I went & picked up a new toy ducky (which is still to this day her favorite toy). If you tell her to get her ducky, she'll dig to the bottom of the toy box to find it.

She did throw up all the time, but I just kept changing food until I finally found a lamb & rice that agreed with her & she's been fine ever since.

The piddling, however, is still there when someone she hasn't seen for a while comes over, but as long as they don't talk to her for about 5 minutes, she's fine. She just gets so excited!

Max & Maggie are both 5 yrs old, Yukon is 3 and Molly the cat is 6. Obviously, they all live inside the house. They are my kids. You wouldn't make your kids stay outside all the time would you?
