Max enjoying a romp in the snow

Max enjoying a romp in the snow

Max is a springer spaniel that we rescued from a shelter. His owners just didn't want him anymore. I guess they didn't have time for him. I never did understand how people can do that. To me, my animals are family, and they are with me forever.

Max is the biggest lover ever, and he thinks he's a lap dog -- he just doesn't realize how heavy he is. He gets along great with his animal siblings and his people. However, he does like to hog all the treats, and he's a little jealous -- he wants all the attention :)

He has a nervous habit and licks one of his legs all the time. The hair is completely gone and he gets a sore there. I've tried everything to get him to stop, with no luck. I just have to tell him, "no licking" & he stops, looks at me like "oh, that's right, I shouldn't do that".

He's such a good dog, and those eyes, they just melt your heart.
